- PVDF rod
Polyvinylidene fluoride is a pure polymer that is extruded from PVDF resin into rods at high temperatures. It does not contain additives such as UV stabilizers, heat stabilizers, softeners, lubricants, or flame retardants. Oxygen content index is 46%, flame retardant, crystallinity is 65%~78%, density is 1.77-1.8g/m3, melting point is 172 ℃, hot deformation temperature is 112-145 ℃, and long-term use temperature is 40-150 ℃. Due to the chemical inertness of PVDF, it hardly reacts with any medium.
The main characteristics of PVDF rods:
1. Working temperature between -60 ℃ and+150 ℃.
2. Stable for chloride, bromide, and energy rays.
3. Excellent resistance to chemical corrosion and hydrolysis.
4. Outstanding UV resistance and weather resistance performance.
5. High mechanical strength.
6. Good rigidity.
7. Good creep resistance.
8. Good sliding and wear resistance.
9. Inherent low flammability.
10. Good electrical insulation.
Application fields of PVDF rods:
Due to its excellent chemical resistance, processability, and resistance to fatigue and creep, PVDF is one of the materials used in pumps, valves, pipelines, pipeline fittings, storage tanks, and heat exchangers for the overall or lining of fluid treatment systems in petrochemical equipment. Its good chemical stability and electrical insulation performance enable the produced equipment to meet TOCS and flame retardant requirements. It is widely used in the storage and transportation of high-purity chemicals in the semiconductor industry, electronic industries such as semiconductors and liquid crystal related devices, chemical devices, food processing machines, etc.
